In a mythical local yacht club atmosphere, the restaurant welcomes you in an impressive veranda adjoining the Grand Salon. An elegant and family atmosphere, slightly outdated as in those places that have always existed. Three skiffs are suspended from the white frame of the veranda. The boats float above the tables, confusing the landmarks of the guests. Exposed to the walls, boater’s hats, photos of trainings and nautical races remind the proud hours of the successes of yesteryear.
In control of this new thirty seater establishment : is the double-starred chef Stéphane Carrade. Two stars at Chez Ruffet, one star at La Guérinière, Stéphane Carrade is also former chef of the Grand Hotel de Bordeaux.
However, this hearty eater, local boy, designs signature cuisine, which brings back to former glory the most basic products, local produce, sublimating the specialties by playing with new amazing and subtle combinations of taste. Between tradition and avant-garde, its credo: is « progressive local cuisine ».
The menu offers four starters, four main courses and four desserts, and widens each day its gourmet offer made from local seasonal products, depending on the chef’s inspiration and the market of the day. The wine list has more than 1 000 references, and offers the possibility of perfect marriage between food and wine.
With the same precision and respect for the products, Chef Stéphane Carrade also concocts the Sunday Brunch.
